Job description
We're looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused IT Support Technician
You'll provide first-line technical support for our business applications, internal IT systems, and end users while working alongside our Digital Product Manager and software development partners to continually improve our technology solutions.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in IT support or application support who enjoys solving problems, helping users, and developing their technical skills.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver first-line technical support via phone, email and Microsoft Teams.
- Support users of our business applications and digital products.
- Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues.
- Escalate complex application issues to software developers or third-party suppliers.
- Support internal staff with business systems, IT equipment and user accounts.
- Assist the Digital Product Manager with software and hardware projects.
- Deliver user training and product demonstrations both remotely and in person.
- Test software updates, new features and bug fixes before release.
- Assist with onboarding and IT setup for new employees.
- Promote cyber security best practices and support internal cyber security awareness initiatives.
- Work collaboratively to improve business processes and user experience.
Requirements
- 2-3 years' experience in an IT Support, Helpdesk, Service Desk or Application Support role.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Basic understanding of networking and business applications.
- Microsoft Fundamentals certification (MS-900, AZ-900 or SC-900) or willingness to achieve one.
- IT Level 3 qualification (NVQ, BTEC or equivalent).
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
Desirable
- Experience carrying out software testing (UAT).
- Experience using Microsoft Teams for remote support.
- Knowledge of cyber security best practices.
- Experience creating user documentation and knowledge base articles.
