About the company
PACE AI is a DOE-tested, commercially proven AI and machine learning and smart edge technology company. With a great and growing team and with AWS as our cloud partner, we're focused on building smarter infrastructure and smarter power grids worldwide, at a time of great need for both. And our solution set helps reduce your electric bill costs, too.
Our fast-scaling solutions for Smart Grid, Smart Buildings, and Smart Cities help reverse climate change, manage power grids better with breakthrough, patented Virtual Power Plant, and deliver innovative, active risk management for equipment and property owners of all kinds.
We're growing rapidly, and working with global partners to scale our impact. With closing of a venture round and with strong support from the State of New Jersey, we've just moved to the new AI Hub in Princeton, NJ., We're looking for an agile, innovative Senior Design Engineer to help us build the next generation of AI at the edge for power grids and the built environment, in Smart Grid, Smart Buildings, and Smart City. You'll be working with a small cloud team and with others in IoT hardware and cloud-connected sensing, for solutions to today's huge problems in grid overload. Around the world, electric demand needs to be freed up for new data centers, EVs, and other loads that in the US, is projected to push total electric consumption from 4 Terawatt-hours now, to over 5 Terawatt-hours .
You'll also be working with our global OEM and other external teams, with project ownership and a place at the table to help develop our technology roadmap. As we're an agile design firm with now 5th generation technology, you'll get to see your work go into action in important grid-and money-saving deployments in both the public and private sector. And you'll help with our international expansion to EU, Japan, and elsewhere in 2026-2027.
Your work will also align us, as an AWS Partner, with Amazon.com's Climate Pledge KPI targets (Net Zero carbon by 2040) and with building decarbonization goals of federal and state/local governments across North America and around the world. You will also be part of our launch into sales on AWS Marketplace and other platforms in 2026-2027.
