Job description

The role of a Senior Software Development Engineer - Epic Bridges- involves designing, developing, and maintaining complex healthcare integrations. This position focuses on ensuring seamless data flow between the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other systems. As part of the Epic team, you will be expected to be proficient in all critical functions of the application development and will champion methodologies with a deep understanding of best practices to ensure that quality standards are met. This team directly impacts the lives of our healthcare delivery patients by creating systems that allow for efficient, quality, and safe healthcare delivery. You can work knowing you are helping many people each day., Development & Implementation: Building and maintaining software programs, reports, and interfaces for data exchange. Working with healthcare interoperability standards like HL7 v2 (ADT, ORU, ORM, SIU, MDM, DFT) / HL7 v3 XML / CCDA / X12/ FHIR Integration and messaging patterns (e.g., Azure services) to connect disparate systems. Configuring and monitoring interfaces in Interface Engine Mirth, pProviding technical expertise, mentoring junior developers, and leading medium-sized projects through the full lifecycle. Utilizing relational databases, managing data structures, and troubleshooting complex data flow issues. Working with IT teams, analysts, and clinical staff to bridge technical and non-technical gaps. Requirements

Expertise in languages relevant to healthcare IT, such as JavaScript, Cache, C#, .NET, and SQL. MIRTH Experience Strong understanding of the Epic EHR platform, healthcare workflows, and interoperability standards. Familiarity with databases, Azure services, messaging queues, security, and networking. Demonstrated ability in leadership, problem-solving, communication, and mentorship. Education Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Relative Experience Epic Bridges Certification

Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $83,430.00 - $222,480.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
