Job description
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise and Operational Technology (OT) network infrastructure across manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution environments. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, high-availability wired, wireless, and WAN networks while supporting industrial systems, warehouse automation, and connected operational technologies. The ideal candidate has experience with manufacturing or distribution networks and understands the networking requirements for PLCs, AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), industrial equipment, and other OT devices. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and network security solutions.
- Manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VoIP systems.
- Support Operational Technology (OT) networks that connect manufacturing equipment, warehouse automation systems, PLCs, AGVs, scanners, printers, and other industrial devices.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement improvements to maximize reliability and uptime.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, operations, and engineering teams to ensure secure and resilient network architecture.
- Configure, maintain, and upgrade network hardware, software, and firmware.
- Maintain network documentation, inventory, and technical standards.
- Respond to production-critical incidents and prioritize work requests in fast-paced operational environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
- Experience supporting network infrastructure in manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or distribution environments.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, SD-WAN, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, VLANs, routing, switching, and network security.
- Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) networks and industrial communications.
- Experience supporting warehouse automation, manufacturing equipment, or industrial control environments.
- CCNA or equivalent networking certification preferred.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with PLCs, AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), industrial control systems, or warehouse automation technologies.
- Familiarity with Industrial Ethernet and OT networking protocols.
- Experience with Cisco CUCM, 802.1X (DOT1X), network access control, and Conditional Access.
- Experience supporting large manufacturing plants, distribution centers, or highly automated warehouse environments.
- Knowledge of Industrial IoT (IIoT), SCADA, or other connected operational technologies.
