As a member of our team, your work will ensure every user gets a truly immersive experience regardless of device or location, empowering the hybrid working patterns of the future., * Full Lifecycle Development: being part of an agile team to design, develop, test, and deliver new features and improvements to our products.
- DevOps & Microservices: Help lead the operational side of our highly available microservice architecture.
- Shared Components: design, implement, test, and maintain core features in the shared java library. Specifically develop highly reliable shared components for HTTP clients, service infrastructure, data access, messaging, metrics, logging, secrets, rate limiting, health checks, and build tooling.
- Embrace AI technology: Leveraging these transformative technologies to accelerate the team's productivity and the delivery of customer features.
- Adaptable & Problem-Solver: Tackle varied and challenging problems daily, showing flexibility, a data-driven focus on quality, and an ability to learn new skills quickly.

Requirements
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer to drive hands-on development for a core foundational architecture component implemented as a shared java library that powers over 90% of services across the Webex Platform., * 3rd Level Qualification: Bachelor's or higher degree in an analytical subject (e.g. Computer Science, Electronic/Software Engineering).
- Work experience: Demonstrated 3+ years experience in software development.
- Coding Aptitude: Extensive architecture and programming experience and the willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
- Problem Solver: Ability to apply and lead a scientific approach and creative skills to complex problems.
- Adaptable & Collaborative: Flexible, thrives in diverse team environments, and communicates clearly and precisely.
- Quality Focus: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning and quality results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of programming in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, C++, JavaScript
- Experience owning internal platform libraries or frameworks used by hundreds or thousands of services.
- Experience modernizing legacy Java components while preserving compatibility.
- Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Micrometer, InfluxDB, Grafana, or similar systems.
- Experience with security scanning, SBOM generation, dependency vulnerability management, and static analysis.
- Hands-on use of Codex or similar AI coding agents in real software development workflows.
