Job description

The Sr. Software Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining mission-critical customer-facing applications by working on both front-end user interfaces and backend business logic running on Tomcat application servers. You will develop new features for future releases, resolve production defects, and maintain production and lower environment map data databases.   • Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts and QA teams to establish clear requirements, understanding, and alignment
  • Maintain ESRI/ArcGIS databases and their related scripts
  • Partner with technical leaders to design solutions, evaluate tools, and assess third-party products
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes with flexibility for waterfall/project-based approaches
  • Design innovative solutions for complex problems beyond straightforward coding requirements, including proof-of-concept development with senior technical resources
  • Fulfill on-call rotation responsibilities for production support
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Enterprise Java (JEE) development experience

  • ESRI GIS platform, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Server, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related field

  • 7+ years of Enterprise Java (JEE) development experience

  • Proficiency with ESRI GIS platform, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Server for publishing and managing GIS services

  • Experience with spatial databases and SQL Server

  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and Java

  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LLM-based code generation) to improve code quality, velocity, and maintainability, Experience with Spring Boot, Angular, React, or Vue.js REMOTE WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Stable, high-speed internet connection

  • Experience with teleconferencing

  • Access to a quiet workspace

  • Smartphone/mobile device
