Job description
The Solutions Engineer - Storage & Virtualization owns solution design in the pre-sales motion and plays a key role in turning opportunity into execution. This role translates client needs into clear, scalable scopes and Statements of Work (SOWs) that set delivery teams up for success. Every design aligns to client outcomes, standards, and SLA expectations.
Partner with Client Executives as the technical liaison for storage and virtualization opportunities, ensuring designs align to client business outcomes and Proven Process.
Translate discovery inputs into solution direction, documenting assumptions, constraints, and dependencies to support sound technical decisions. Design accurate, scalable storage and virtualization solutions aligned to service standards and SLA requirements.
Develop, maintain, and standardize Scopes/Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring consistency, completeness, and accuracy across proposals and handoffs.
Lead solution design efforts within the assigned pod structure, ensuring technical feasibility and successful translation into actionable engineering deliverables.
This position is paying between 90k-100k annually.
Requirements
Experience designing client-facing infrastructure solutions with a focus on storage and virtualization.
Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical designs, scopes, and SOWs that delivery teams can execute.
Working knowledge of virtualization platforms and enterprise storage concepts (e.g., hypervisors, SAN/NAS, backup/DR fundamentals).
Strong written communication skills with a high standard for documentation quality and clarity.
Collaborate with delivery teams to confirm solution intent, reduce ambiguity, and ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation.
Incorporate delivery feedback and outcomes to continuously improve scoping quality, clarity, and repeatability.
