Job description
- Design, develop and validate NXP's secure mobile payment solutions and applets
- Implementation of "on-card" Software for secure microcontrollers
- Analysis of use cases for performance optimization
- Implementation and execution of software tests - unit / functional test cases
- Software design, code and test plans / needed test coverage
- Contribution to software Architecture and design considerations
- Familiarity and comfortable working with international standards
- Customer facing role to drive NXP solutions technically
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer engineering or Software engineering plus 2-5 years of related experience not including co-ops or internships
- Excellent programming skills in C / C++, Java
- Programming skills on embedded microcontrollers (8051, ARM, or similar)
- Smart card Operating Systems / Java Card OS experience is a plus
- Secure coding practices and knowledge of cryptography are appreciated
- Exposure to Global Platform Standards, EMVco Standards and GSMA is a plus
- Familiarity with Contact / Contactless smart card protocols (ISO7816, ISO14443, NFC)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills

The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles. Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is: $121,400 to $166,900 annually
