Job description
- Develop functional testing scenarios as well as detailed functional test cases.
- Manage project deadlines, as well as your time and schedule in a fast-paced federal environment.
- Communicate cross-team dependencies clearly, particularly with test automation and development teams.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into automated test solutions.
- Design and implement maintainable automation code to support testing objectives.
- Work with Project Management, Product Owner, Development Management, and Test Team Management to define solutions that balance business requirements, competing priorities, timelines and other constraints, system performance, and available resources while minimizing technical debt.
- Collaborate with development team manager/leads to define the work to be performed by the development team to meet the business requirements.
- Collaborate with developers and technical leads to provide input and recommendations on both high level and low level technical decisions during the development of the solution.
- Review and generate complex test plans, generate test case data, build procedures and testing scripts based upon functional specifications.
- Execute test cases, coordinate and execute tests, log and validate defects, debug and document.
- Assist test lead/manager to define and refine functional testing approaches, tools, automation and documentation.
- Interact with Federal and contractor functional leads to clarify requirements and scenarios.
- Assist the Federal and contractor resources to conduct User Acceptance Testing.
- Respond to developers' questions regarding test results, bugs and defects.
- Communicate frequently with customers and team members, facilitating discussions and exercising professional judgment as require.
Requirements
- 10 years of IT Industry experience (Required).
- Claim Processing or healthcare industry knowledge (Required).
- Experience with modern development and CI/CD tools, including Github, Jenkins (multi-branch pipelines), OpenShift, and Kubernetes (K8s) in automated during testing environments.
- Java development experience, demonstrated through prior work or projects.
- Familiarity with modern automated testing tools (additional tools considered as plus.
- At least 2 years of experience in Test Automation using Selenium including Framework development, Framework maintenance, Framework Optimization, Automation Strategizing, Automation Planning (Required).
- Strong experience in Automation Feasibility Analysis, ability to improvise on the automation strategy, review existing automation frameworks and provide optimal solutions.
- Should have experience in Agile and DevOps methodology.
- Ability to read and understand Functional, Technical architecture design documents and analyze test requirements.
- Should have strong co-ordination, communication & reporting, analytical skills.
- Experience in testing Java,.Net, Web, SOA, ETL based applications
- Experience in developing test cases using automation tools like Selenium (Must have) and/or IBM Rational Functional tester/ Quality Center.
- Having some level Java development experience.
- Automation Test Execution.
- Prepare test data for various test cases/scenarios.
- Exposure to multiple SDLC models like Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile models.
- Strong skills in SQL, Oracle, MS-Access.
- Intermediate understanding and experience with Unix and Windows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field of study.
- 8 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for education (18 years total).
Clearance:
- The ability to pass a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI).
