Job description

We are growing very quickly and looking for the right person to come and grow with us. Working as a part of a smaller IT team means that we all wear many hats and help out where needed to accomplish organizational goals. We can provide many opportunities to explore and learn new systems, and were willing to help the right person acquire additional job-related training to build expertise in the systems we utilize. This position will report to the Director of IT Infrastructure and is an in-house position located at our corporate headquarters in Farmington, UT. As scheduling permits, there will also be an opportunity for hybrid work schedules, where you will be able to work from your home office for one or two days per week.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Regularly assess the impact of performance using our internal assessment tool 3A+. Manage the provisioning of IT resources to ensure that business needs are effectively met.Set up, manage, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, network infrastructure, and printers.Manage user/group management policies on internal network and remote connections and with our 3rd-party applications such as Office 365 and Adobe Cloud.Manage hardware and software system backups & upgrades, including OneDrive, workstation backups, and LTO tape backups.Perform daily system and IT security monitoring with regular system health and statistical reporting.Administration of both cloud and local applications and servers, including VM servers using Hyper V Manager.Administer and troubleshoot company phone VOIP system (Zoom Phone).Assist in the maintenance of building systems such as access control, video surveillance, security alarm, white noise, fire system, and scheduling system.Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of audio/video equipment in our building studios, training spaces, conference rooms, and common areas.Assist with setup, maintenance, and takedown of IT and AV gear for special company events, tradeshows, and summits.Assist with any other tasks required by Arbinger required to achieve organizational goals.

Requirements

We are seeking an individual with at least 5+ years of background in IT support and systems administration experience. We are a small IT shop looking for a well-rounded IT generalist who can help in any of the following areas: Server support, Mac workstations, PC workstations, network switches, firewalls, printers, Cloud and local applications, IT security, Audio/Video setup, and troubleshooting., Advanced skills and experience with using and troubleshooting Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude. Ability to monitor system performance and maintain systems according to requirements. Knowledge of how to upgrade systems with new releases and models. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of systems security (intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills. Ability to work proactively and productively with minimal oversight. Advanced skills and experience with using and troubleshooting Office 365 apps and services (Word/Excel/PPT/OneDrive/SharePoint/Power Automate). Ability to work with strict deadlines in a fast-paced team.Familiarity with modern operating systems and server platforms.

Preferred Capabilities:

Technical expertise in network design and configuration.Technical writing skills. Project management skills and strong ability to prioritize. Computer and server physical hardware repair experience.Ability to design training for new systems.Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams who may be in a remote environment.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelors degree or comparable work experience. 5+ years of experience in IT support and systems administration preferred. Experience in using Okta, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, or other identity and access management solutions is desired.Certifications such as MCSE and A+ preferred.Experience administrating Mac OSX and Windows 10/11-based PCs and laptops (Linux is a plus).Experience with helpdesk software (Jira, Zendesk, or other), including a positive track record of successfully hitting SLAs.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Capable of lifting up to 50lbs from time to time.
