Job description

The Fountain Group has an immediate opening for a Desktop Technician. This Desktop Technician will provide onsite IT support at our client's manufacturing facility in Canton, NY, delivering technical assistance for computer systems, hardware, software, mobile devices, and network infrastructure. The Desktop technician will troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues, perform hardware deployments and configurations, manage IT assets, support Microsoft Windows and Office environments, and ensure timely resolution of service requests while maintaining exceptional customer service., he Desktop Technician will provide onsite technical support for end users at a manufacturing facility, troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, and infrastructure-related issues. This role is responsible for resolving desktop support requests, deploying hardware, supporting Microsoft environments, and ensuring timely resolution of incidents while delivering exceptional customer service., * Provide onsite and occasional remote technical support for end users

  • Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues
  • Support Windows 7/10 operating systems and Microsoft Office (2010/2013/2016/O365)
  • Perform Active Directory administration
  • Support Office 365, OneDrive, and other cloud applications
  • Troubleshoot Cisco VPN and Citrix connectivity issues
  • Install, configure, and deploy desktop hardware and software
  • Configure printers, conference room technology, IP phones, and Adobe products
  • Utilize ServiceNow to document, track, and resolve support requests
  • Perform hardware deployments, asset management, equipment moves, and device imaging
  • Support endpoint security applications and browser-related issues
  • Maintain documentation and communicate status updates to customers and leadership
  • Participate in projects and collaborate with cross-functional IT teams
  • Travel occasionally to nearby locations as business needs require

Requirements

The Desktop Technician will also support Active Directory administration, Office 365 and cloud applications, VPN and Citrix connectivity, ServiceNow ticket management, printer and conference room technology, endpoint security, and standard device imaging. This role requires strong hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience beyond basic imaging and deployment, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and excellent communication and organizational skills. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens to meet ITAR/DOD compliance requirements, with an Associate's degree and IT experience (or equivalent experience) preferred, along with CompTIA certifications such as A+, Network+, or Server+., * *Associates Degree (at least) and 0.5 - 1+ years IT experience OR 3-5 years IT experience

  • **Hardware Experience (beyond imaging/deployment)
  • Exp supporting Windows 7/10 and MS Office suites (2010/2013/2016/O365)., The ideal candidate has strong hands-on desktop support experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and enterprise IT environments., * Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field OR 3-5 years of relevant IT support experience
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of desktop support experience (or equivalent experience)
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience beyond basic imaging and deployment
  • Experience supporting Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office Suite (2010/2013/2016/O365)
  • Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
