Job description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for establishing and managing relationships with vendors and serve as the point of contact on behalf of Seminole Tribe of Florida's Purchasing Department. The individual communicates with vendors and other stakeholders during the vendor application and background investigation process, ongoing reviews and evaluations of existing vendors and in response to vendor issues. The incumbent verifies that vendors meet the requirements as set forth by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, monitors and evaluates vendor performance and process new applications.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance or related field is required. A minimum of (3) three years of experience evaluating and working with vendors, or related experience is required. Prior experience with Lawson or an electronic file system is preferred. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills in assessing risk, issues and challenging results. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel to all reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
