Job description
We are seeking a hands-on Network Project Engineer to support a large healthcare system's enterprise infrastructure initiatives. This role will focus on network deployment and refresh projects across hospitals, medical centers, and new construction sites. The ideal candidate has experience with rack-and-stack activities, network switch deployments, end-of-life hardware replacements, and enterprise network upgrades in complex environments. -Support network infrastructure projects for new hospital construction, facility expansions, and enterprise technology initiatives. -Perform hands-on deployment activities, including rack-and-stack, cabling, device installation, and equipment configuration. -Lead and support network switch refresh projects, hardware upgrades, and end-of-life technology replacement efforts. -Participate in network build-outs, migrations, cutovers, and upgrades for data, voice, and wireless networks. -Diagnose and resolve network and hardware issues to ensure project timelines and operational objectives are met. -Implement and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and voice network solutions. -Work closely with project managers, infrastructure teams, vendors, and hospital stakeholders during deployments. -Create and maintain project documentation, implementation plans, audit records, and network diagrams.
Requirements
GED or HS Diploma -3+ years of hands-on network deployment, infrastructure, or field engineering experience. -Strong experience with rack-and-stack, cabling, hardware installation, and network equipment deployment. -Understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and EIGRP. -Working knowledge of routing and switching concepts. -Experience supporting technologies such as: -Cisco Switches and Routers -Wireless Networks -Firewalls -Load Balancers -LAN/WAN/WLAN Infrastructure
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience supporting healthcare organizations or large hospital systems. Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) preferred. Understanding of routing protocols EIGRP.
