Job description
We are seeking an experienced Database Integration & Business Intelligence Project Manager to design, develop, and manage database integrations across our internal software ecosystem. This role will be responsible for creating secure, reliable, and scalable database connections that enable seamless data flow between applications while supporting reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives using Microsoft Power BI., Database Development & Integration
- Design, develop, and maintain database integrations between internal software applications, third-party systems, and cloud platforms.
- Create and optimize database connections, ETL/ELT processes, APIs, and automated data workflows.
- Develop and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, security, and performance across integrated systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database connectivity, synchronization, and performance issues.
- Support database migrations, upgrades, and system enhancements.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Develop and maintain Power BI datasets, data models, dashboards, and reports.
- Build and manage secure data connections between Power BI and multiple data sources.
- Optimize reporting performance and data refresh processes.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify reporting needs and deliver actionable business intelligence solutions.
- Ensure data governance, accuracy, and consistency across reporting environments.
Project Management
- Lead database and integration projects from requirements gathering through implementation and post-deployment support.
- Develop project plans, timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with software developers, IT teams, vendors, and business users to ensure successful project delivery.
- Track project milestones, communicate status updates, and manage competing priorities.
- Document technical specifications, system architecture, and integration processes.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with software development teams to improve application integration and data architecture.
- Recommend improvements to database design, automation, and reporting capabilities.
- Establish and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for database development and integrations.

Success Measures
Success in this role will be measured by:

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Requirements
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in database development and systems integration with proven project management skills to lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through implementation., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of experience in database development, systems integration, or data engineering.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar relational database platforms.
- Advanced SQL development skills, including stored procedures, views, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience developing ETL/ELT processes and integrating data from multiple systems.
- Hands-on experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and data connections.
- Experience with APIs, web services, and database connectivity technologies.
- Proven project management experience leading technical implementation projects.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, SSIS, or other cloud data platforms.
- Familiarity with Power Automate, Power Apps, or the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience integrating ERP, CRM, accounting, manufacturing, or other enterprise business systems.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, Scrum, or similar certification is a plus.
- Experience with version control and DevOps practices., * Power BI: 1 year (Preferred)
