Job description

Tatitlek provides Information Technology Operations and Maintenance Support (ITO&MS) for the BEP's Chief Information Officer (CIO) Directorate's Office; Office of Information Technology Operations (OITO) in support of BEP's printing services mission. These services are provided 24/7.

Personnel are responsible for providing an effective, efficient, and proactive approach to managing, supporting, securing, and maintaining the BEP IT network infrastructure and systems to ensure a sustainable, efficient, effective, and highly reliable environment for government employees and contractors., * The Senior Network Engineer shall be responsible for leading the entire Network Engineering Team.

  • Respond to trouble tickets from the Help Desk automated trouble ticketing system.
  • Perform network-related hardware and software System Administration functions best suited for after hours, including patches, upgrades, service packs, hotfixes, etc. to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability., Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system.

Requirements

  • Must have at least four (4) years of experience working with the TCP/IP networking environment; familiarity with Domain Names Services (DNS), ATM, Frame Relay, etc.
  • High level of familiarity with networking technologies and capable of troubleshooting all levels of network connectivity issues including, but not limited to, network outages, switch failures, network performance, network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration, etc.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies including, but not limited to, routers.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION(S):

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Cloud.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs.
  • Must possess good vision and hearing capabilities., As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
