Job description

Grant Leading Technology is seeking a candidate for Senior Cloud Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team. The candidate will play a critical role in securing the Internal Revenue Service's next-generation Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) as part of the IRS modernization initiative. This position will support the design, implementation, assessment, and continuous monitoring of cloud-native security controls across a multi-cloud data ecosystem supporting advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, data sharing, and mission-critical tax administration services. The successful candidate will collaborate with enterprise architects, cloud engineers, data engineers, security operations teams, and federal stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements while enabling secure adoption of modern cloud technologies.

This position will be remote, and the hours are 8 am to 5 pm EST.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud architecturesEvaluate cloud services and architectures against federal cybersecurity standards and IRS security requirementsSupport secure migration of legacy data platforms and applications into modern cloud environmentsImplement Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles and cloud-native security capabilitiesEnsure compliance with federal mandates including: FISMANIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5NIST SP 800-207 (Zero Trust)FedRAMPIRS Publication 1075 Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and Authority to Operate (ATO) documentationSupport security control assessments and continuous authorization activitiesMonitor and analyze cloud security events, logs, and alertsInvestigate cybersecurity incidents and coordinate response activitiesImplement and optimize cloud security monitoring solutions, SIEM integrations, and threat detection capabilitiesConduct vulnerability assessments, security reviews, and remediation trackingDevelop strategies for protecting sensitive taxpayer and financial informationImplement encryption, tokenization, data masking, and key management solutionsEnsure secure data ingestion, storage, processing, and sharing across enterprise data environmentsSupport data governance and privacy requirementsEmbed security controls into CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deploymentsAutomate security testing, compliance validation, and vulnerability management processesCollaborate with development and engineering teams to implement secure coding and deployment practices

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of eight (8) years of cybersecurity experienceMinimum of five (5) years securing cloud environments supporting federal or highly regulated organizationsStrong understanding of cloud-native security services and architecturesExperience with vulnerability management, security assessments, and incident responseExperience with enterprise logging, SIEM, and cloud security monitoring toolsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAWS Security Services (IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, KMS, CloudTrail)Microsoft Azure Security Services (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Key Vault)Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) technologiesIdentity and Access Management (IAM)Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep)Container Security (Docker, Kubernetes)DevSecOps tools and practicesVulnerability Management PlatformsData Loss Prevention (DLP)Encryption and Key Management SystemsMust be able to pass a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) background checkMust live in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States
