Job description
The Contents Technician is responsible for packing, cleaning, transporting, and restoring customers personal belongings following fire, water, mold, or other property damage. This role requires attention to detail, professionalism in customer homes, and the ability to follow established restoration and documentation procedures. Key Responsibilities
Pack, inventory, and move customer contents with care and accuracy
Perform contents cleaning, deodorization, and restoration (on-site and in-shop)
Load and unload contents at job sites and warehouse locations
Document inventory using SERVPRO systems and mobile applications
Safely wrap, label, store, and return contents to customers homes
Follow all safety, PPE, and company protocols
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, vehicles, and warehouse
Provide courteous, professional service to customers during stressful situations
Assist other departments as needed during large losses or emergencies
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the workday
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working in damaged environments (fire, water, mold conditions)
Basic smartphone and app usage skills
Restoration or contents handling experience is a plus but not required
