Job description
The Design Engineer is responsible for developing 2D/3D designs, drawings, and layouts for vehicle parts and assemblies. This role requires the ability to independently solve complex design challenges while supporting production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment., * Design metal fabricated parts and assemblies using SolidWorks
- Develop full truck models and production documentation
- Manage engineering files using PDM and ERP systems
- Handle multiple projects with varying urgency and complexity
- Collaborate with production to resolve design and manufacturing issues
- Complete Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as needed
- Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for parts and assemblies
- Drive process improvements through design optimization
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of mechanical experience
- 3+ years in a manufacturing environment
- Strong SolidWorks proficiency
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, * Mechanical Engineering: 5 years (Required)
