At Advisors Excel, our technology and digital resources help independent financial advisors better serve their clients every day. As a Web Developer on our Creative Services team, you'll develop, maintain, and enhance the digital platforms our advisors and internal teams rely on, including our corporate website, Daily Business Resources (DBR), and AE Sync. Working closely with our marketing, content, design, and IT teams, you'll solve technical challenges, improve user experiences, and help deliver secure, high-performing digital solutions that support our growing business. This role is located in Topeka, Kansas, and it is exclusively an on-site work arrangement. Additionally, please note that the company does not extend sponsorship opportunities at this time. What you'll do:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize our corporate digital platforms, including the Advisors Excel website, Daily Business Resources (DBR), and AE Sync.
- Build and support backend functionality to ensure exceptional speed, security, uptime, and performance.
- Partner with marketing and content leaders to plan, develop, and launch new website features and digital resources.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and platform access while supporting more complex setup requests.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and deliver timely resolutions for internal users.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and user guides.
- Respond to help desk requests and provide ongoing support for our digital platforms.
- Analyze platform performance and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with content creators, designers, and IT professionals to continually enhance the user experience.
- Serve as a technical resource for the team by sharing knowledge, mentoring teammates, and promoting best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in web development, digital content management, or a related role.
- Proficiency with WordPress - experience managing WordPress plugins and website functionality.
- Experience working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and departments.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with GoHighLevel.
- Experience with Webflow.
- Experience with database or resource management systems.
- Previous experience mentoring or training others on technical platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
