Job description

This role supports the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex IT systems and database environments. The DBA will maintain the integrity, security, and availability of databases; perform disaster recovery, performance tuning, and monitoring; and support Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE administration. Responsibilities also include database optimization, security policy implementation, and migration efforts from on-prem Oracle environments to AWS RDS., * Oracle DBA will build a new environment using Oracle OEM Cloud control and DataGuard.Maintain database integrity, security, and availability

  • Administer Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE databases
  • Support Oracle to AWS RDS migration efforts
  • Perform performance tuning, monitoring, index maintenance, and disaster recovery
  • Implement database security policies and procedures
  • Optimize database structure, storage, and query performance
  • Support installation and administration of database systems and tools

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 12+ years of DBA experience supporting programs of similar scope and complexity
  • Four additional years of experience may substitute for a degree, * Oracle and OEM Management
  • Red Hat Linux 7/8
  • Git, Puppet, VMware
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • AWS and AWS Managed Databases (including NoSQL)
  • Schema design, optimization, and data modeling
