Job description
We are seeking a Sr. Lab System Support Engineer with 8+ years of experience supporting laboratory systems in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with lab system lifecycle management, vendor management, Computer System Validation (CSV), and GxP compliance., * Manage the complete lifecycle of laboratory systems, including implementation, validation, maintenance, upgrades, backups, archival, and decommissioning.
- Ensure compliance with SDLC, CSV, GMP, GLP, GxP, FDA regulations, and data integrity requirements.
- Act as the primary contact for vendors regarding installations, upgrades, maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Support laboratory software systems and instrument integration platforms.
- Perform user account management (creation, modification, deletion).
- Coordinate with desktop, network, and vendor teams for hardware and system support.
- Handle system onboarding/offboarding, monthly patching, backup/restoration, and application upgrades.
- Support laboratory instruments and troubleshoot software/hardware issues.
- Maintain system documentation, SOPs, work instructions, audit trails, and archival processes.
- Work closely with Lab, QA, and IT teams to resolve issues and improve workflows.
- Support audits, inspections, CAPA activities, deviations, and change controls.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, and GxP regulations
- Experience with Computer System Validation (CSV)
- Lab system lifecycle management (implementation, validation, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning)
- Vendor management and coordination
- Understanding of laboratory business processes in a pharmaceutical environment
- Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar ticketing systems
- Knowledge of Change Control, CAPA, Deviations, and Problem Management
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, and Spectrophotometers
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills, * Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, or related field
- 8+ years of laboratory systems support or IT support experience in a regulated pharmaceutical/life sciences environment
