Job description

Join our dynamic IT support team as a Desktop Support Technician and become the vital link in ensuring seamless technology operations across our organization. In this energetic role, you will provide expert technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and maintain our IT infrastructure to keep our systems running smoothly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment, supporting a diverse range of operating systems, networking, and hardware components., * Deliver prompt and professional technical support to end-users via help desk platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira, resolving issues related to desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software applications.

  • Perform hardware maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory management and Windows Server administration to ensure secure access controls.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and computer networking configurations.
  • Assist with operating system installations, updates, and configurations across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
  • Support the IT infrastructure by monitoring system health, managing backups with BMC Remedy or similar tools, and maintaining system documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members on projects involving system administration tasks such as Active Directory management or server upgrades while maintaining excellent communication with end-users.

Requirements

  • Proven experience providing technical support in a help desk or IT support environment.
  • Strong knowledge of desktop support procedures including hardware maintenance and software troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11), macOS, Linux distributions, and associated tools.
  • Familiarity with computer management tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and remote support platforms like ServiceNow or Jira.
  • Experience managing Active Directory accounts, Windows Server environments, VPNs, firewalls, and LAN configurations.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users while demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure components including network cabling, switches, routers, and basic cybersecurity principles.
