Job description

This team develops and fields aircraft health management systems across multiple platforms-including F/A-18, E/A-18, F-15, T7, MQ-25, and proprietary programs-by acquiring and managing aircraft health and usage data, performing assessments, updating configurations, and recommending maintenance actions. The team is looking for a highly motivated systems engineer to develop requirements, perform integration activities, manage project schedule & budget, and take on the role of a Product Owner (PO) within the GVHMS portfolio.

This role requires interaction with internal and external stakeholders to ensure software products are developed in alignment with supporting customer, business and program needs. The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical system engineering skills as well as project management skills. Good oral and written communication is essential to succeed in this position. This role will work closely with the software development team, hardware team, test team, other System Engineers, and leadership. This position may also require occasional domestic and international travel to ensure successful implementation at customer sites.

Position Responsibilities: Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions

Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces

Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture

Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success

Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes

Resolves cross-functional technical issues

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

9+ years of experience in systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design and trade design)

7+ years of experience working systems engineering across multiple phases of the product life-cycle

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Secret Security clearance is a plus

9+ years of experience building stakeholder and customer relationships

9+ years of experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

EVM trained / CAM Certified

Agile development experience

Experience with military aircraft and Proprietary programs

Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by influence, This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. Summary Pay Range for Expert (Level 4): $136,850 - $185,150
