Job description
- Solution Design and Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and development teams to understand business requirements and design solutions that align with the organization's objectives. Lead the architectural design process for end-to-end automation solutions.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage your in-depth expertise in automation platforms such as UI Path, Automation Anywhere, connecting our ecosystem through WebMethods and empowering automation through AI and data with platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake to design and implement robust and scalable solutions.
- Architecture Governance: Define and enforce Hyperautomation architecture best practices, standards, and guidelines. Conduct regular reviews of integration projects to ensure adherence to architectural principles and maintain consistency across the ecosystem.
- Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce integration architecture governance processes, ensuring that projects adhere to architectural standards and compliance requirements. Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain architectural integrity.
- Team Leadership: Provide indirect technical leadership to solution architects internal and with our partners, guiding them through complex integration challenges, reviewing their work, and fostering skill development within the team. Oversee and influence cross functional diligence on initiatives both before and after the project acquisition.
- Vendor Interaction: Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to understand product roadmaps, influence enhancements, and ensure the organization's integration architecture is future-proof and aligned with industry trends. Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate effective collaboration throughout the capabilities.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability. Identify and address potential bottlenecks and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Documentation and Knowledge Management: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams, design documents, and integration patterns. Drive and own the development of a knowledge repository and solution blueprints.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks and challenges. Provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives in a clear and concise manner. Act as a trusted advisor to the business on automation strategy and best practices.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and industry developments. Explore and recommend innovative solutions to improve processes, efficiency, and overall system performance.
- Mentorship and guidance to junior solution architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)
- Strongly Preferred:
- Previous Medtronic experience
- Excellent communication skills, fluent spoken and written English.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in IT Solution Architecture for Hyperautomation with a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information technology, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities, including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Very deep technical understanding of the broad set of Hyperautomation capabilities, combined with a deeper expert understanding in at least one or two of the Hyperautomation capabilities such as (Gen)AI, Process Mining or IPA/RPA, to spot and compare cross technology solutions to an automation opportunity.
- Strong architectural understanding of and experience in cloud infrastructure such as AWS and or Azure and AI platforms such as Databricks and data warehouses / AI platforms such as Snowflake.
- Ability to lead the architectural solution design, development, deployment, and technical quality of large enterprise or global solutions that span multiple technologies and disciplines.
- Be able to provide architectural direction for multiple projects/programs concurrently in various stages of their lifecycle.
- Ability to understand the customer's business problem, need, or opportunity and to design a solution that completely and correctly addresses the business problem, need, or opportunity without unnecessary enhancements.
- Proven ability to work as a team player, delivering quality results within defined timelines.
- Previous Medtronic experience
- Master's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience in change management, as it relates to a culture and mindset of a complex organization including capabilities building, process design, ownership, and implementation.
- Prior experience managing a global organization including internal and external stakeholders.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$132,800.00 - $199,200.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
