Job description
Reposted 12 Hours Ago Be an Early Applicant Remote Hiring Remotely in USA Mid level Remote Hiring Remotely in USA Mid level Build and maintain CRM and HRM connectors (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, BambooHR, Personio, Deel, Workday), own integration patterns and libraries, support customer onboarding and troubleshoot production issues, document APIs, and prioritize connector roadmap with Product. The summary above was generated by AI, Light's customers need their financial platform connected to their CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive) and HRM systems (BambooHR, Personio, Deel, etc.). This role owns all CRM/HRM integration work - building connectors, maintaining existing ones, and being the go-to person when customers need their people/sales data flowing into Light. You'll work closely with Customer Delivery on implementations and the Solutions Architecture group on connector design patterns. This isn't a support role - you're an engineer building and improving how Light connects to these systems.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain integrations with major CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive) and HRM systems (BambooHR, Personio, Deel, Workday)
- Own the integration patterns and shared libraries for CRM/HRM connectors
- Work directly with customers during onboarding to configure and troubleshoot their integrations
- Document APIs and integration approaches so the team can scale knowledge
- Triage and resolve integration-related production issues
- Partner with Product to prioritise which connectors to build next based on customer demand
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering (Kotlin preferred, Java/JVM acceptable)
- Experience building and maintaining third-party API integrations
- Comfortable with OAuth flows, webhooks, rate limiting, and the messiness of real-world APIs
- PostgreSQL knowledge
- Familiarity with at least one major CRM or HRM platform's API
- Pragmatic approach - these integrations need to work reliably, not win architecture awards
- Practical experience using AI or emerging technology tools to improve productivity, insight, or decision-making, with the ability to apply first-principles thinking to new problems.
Nice to Have
- Experience with financial data or ERP integrations
- Previous work in a B2B SaaS environment
- Exposure to AWS (EKS, Lambda, RDS)
Benefits & conditions
CRM/HRM integrations are a growing part of our customer onboarding and ongoing support load. Having a dedicated specialist means faster implementations, better connector quality, and a single point of accountability. You'll have real ownership and direct customer impact.
