Job description
As a Senior Pega Developer, you will take ownership of the development, maintenance, and optimization of mobile and desktop Pega-based solutions. This role is ideal for a developer with deep Pega expertise and experience supporting intuitive, scalable mobile and web applications.
You will contribute to Genworth's top strategic priorities by supporting critical systems that enable world-class service to policyholders when they need us most. You will work closely with business partners and IT teams to support and enhance Long-Term Care (LTC) Claims Administration applications and services, delivering high-quality solutions that meet complex operational needs.
What you will be doing
- Provide support for Pega applications.
- Serve as a Senior Application Developer for the LTC Claims Operations technology team by designing, developing, and supporting scalable workflow applications.
- Develop software using PEGA Rules Process Commander (PRPC) for Business Process Management and Business Process Rules initiatives.
- Create innovative solutions to address design, architectural, and technical challenges.
- Partner with the Lead System Architect to determine solution design and produce required technical documentation.
- Perform ongoing refactoring, apply visualization techniques, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Build and maintain strong peer relationships across cross-functional technology teams and application users.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Testers, and business users to prioritize development within resource constraints.
- Evaluate and adapt emerging technologies and toolsets as appropriate.
- Perform peer code reviews and ensure strong adherence to Pega guardrails.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA).
- 5 - 7+ years of Pega application development experience.
- 4+ years developing BPM applications using Pega PRPC Platform 8 & 24/25.
- Strong enforcement of Pega best practices for design and architecture.
- Experience with Agile (Scrum).
- Experience with SQL Server or Oracle.
- Experience with .NET or Java preferred.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Experience with Pega Constellation.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience leading development teams.
