Job description
Seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager with experience leading projects involving servers, operating systems, middleware, databases, and supporting network components. This role requires enough technical understanding to manage delivery, timelines, dependencies, and risks across infrastructure initiatives, but does not require hands-on engineering or administration experience. The ideal candidate has managed projects involving physical and virtual servers, Windows and Red Hat operating systems, middleware platforms such as JBoss, Apache, and IIS, and databases including Oracle and SQL Server. Exposure to MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or CockroachDB is a plus. Candidates should understand how these technologies interact within an enterprise infrastructure environment and how applications, databases, and networks work together to support business services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure programs and projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across server, middleware, database, network, and application support groups.
- Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Provide status reporting, stakeholder communication, and executive updates.
- Drive project governance and ensure adherence to PMO standards and best practices.
- Remove delivery roadblocks and facilitate successful project execution.
- Support Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Lead resource planning, process improvements, and change management initiatives.
Requirements
- Infrastructure Project Management experience in enterprise environments.
- Understanding of server technologies, virtualization, operating systems, middleware, databases, and networking concepts.
- Strong experience with Jira and Microsoft Office tools including Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and technical teams simultaneously.
- Experience with risk management, issue resolution, and program governance.
