Job description

You will provide technical support to maintain the organization's computer systems, both hardware and software, and other peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance so that end users can maintain a high level of productivity. Infrastructural support to local staff and clients by responding to all incoming service requests for PCs/laptops. The individual will support, install, and fix PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other computer assets in the organization. One of the primary responsibilities will be to answer calls and emails to fix issues in the desktop environment. They will perform service desk functions and daily functional tasks, including upgrading and configurations of computer systems, licenses, and asset tracking. They should have solid analytical and problem-solving skills. They must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as they will be required to, communicate complex concepts in a simple manner to staff from non-technical, * Organize, set up, and configure equipment, such as desktops/laptops, desk phones, printers, copiers, scanners, faxes, and troubleshoot issues related to them.

  • Perform moves, adds, and changes with workstations, and maintain network and system access for employees.
  • Monitor the ticketing system and provide level-1 technical support to end-users such as password resets, software installations, PC hardware problems, printer malfunctions, and other IT issues abroad.
  • Handle accounts and access requests for various software as a service (SaaS) applications and Microsoft active directory. They maintain file system security, data integrity, and password security for the organization's desktop environment.
  • Assess third-party applications for deployment and incorporate them into existing operations.
  • Maintain documentation related to all IT assets & inventory and update them frequently in accordance with the configuration and quantity changes.
  • Work on projects related to IT hardware reconciliation, PC decommissioning, account & junk data clean-up, Windows OS, and hardware upgrade, etc.
  • Perform other tasks within the scope of the role as identified by management.
  • Must keep themselves abreast of new developments in the IT industry and should be able to take on new responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Certification in A+ and Network+ from CompTIA would be beneficial.
  • Experience in systems administration would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of technically supporting windows PC systems and desktop support is a must
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment and effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Possess self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Operating Systems: Windows 7,8,10 and 11 are a must. Window Servers 2008-19 would be an asset.
  • Good documentation skills and keenness to maintain & update knowledge base.
  • Basic networking knowledge related to IP addressing, ethernet, cabling, and remote desktop tools.
  • Knowledge of active directory and IT security concepts would be a definite asset.
  • You will be required to work ON-SITE, Pharr, TX
