Job description

The Demand Analyst, eCommerce The Demand Planner serves as the link between Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, and Supply Chain by translating market demand signals into an accurate forecast that drives supply, inventory, and operational decisionsis a critical role that directly supports revenue growth, customer service, inventory optimization, and working capital objectivesis responsible for compiling and analyzing ecommerce data and turning data insights into action by making sales driving marketing recommendations. This position will own the analytics for the ecommerce channel, including forecasting, and deeply understand product performance and consumer trends. Partner with marketing, sales, and other internal resources to identify trends and data-based assumptions to generate and drive demand., * Develop and maintain point of sale and other metrics dashboard in Power BI.

  • Identify key KPIs with sales/marketing to be tracked on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Analyze point of sales data on a daily basis to understand if within plan and if not, analyze trends to recommend course correcting actions.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing by providing data and analysis to drive results.
  • Analyze promotional and marketing strategy results. Make recommendations to cross functional partners on how to generate and maximize demand.
  • Analyze consumer orders and operational trends. Based on findings, make recommendations for changes.
  • Develop and maintain sales forecast in forecasting system by item/account using historical data and future trends.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain various complex reports to include but not limited to: POS, forecast accuracy, sales analysis, inventory levels, basic profitability analysis.
  • Regularly partner with operations/supply chain to identify and plan for inventory flow requirements and help ensure in stock on items; proactively assist in addressing problems or issues as appropriate.
  • Present key findings and longer-term business recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Consolidate data and simplify complex information into actionable next steps.
  • Maintain quality and highly reliable data and information within one or more databases. Qualification Requirements

Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field of study.

Minimum Work Experience: 5 years of data analytics and forecasting analysis.

License(s) / Certification(s): None Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of analytical and forecast methodologies.
  • Knowledge and interest in database analysis.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of sales and inventory management within the consumer products manufacturing industry
  • High degree of proficiency using database analytical tools, including Microsoft Excel, and exposure to Power BI.
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Curious and asks appropriate questions to fill in the gaps as needed.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to maintain information in a logical and well, thought-out manner.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to lead a team of coworkers in a common direction or task.
