Job description
We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to support and coordinate the operational management of a large-scale ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) and CCTV camera infrastructure. You will act as the key point of contact for camera operations, troubleshooting, supplier coordination, and stakeholder management, ensuring optimal performance and availability across the camera network., * Manage and maintain the inventory of ANPR and CCTV cameras.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for camera-related incidents and connectivity issues.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and follow up with external suppliers.
- Monitor camera performance, uptime, and operational health.
- Manage camera onboarding and offboarding processes with various stakeholders.
- Validate technical solutions and support the implementation of new camera deployments.
- Track supplier performance against agreed SLAs and escalate where necessary.
- Produce operational reports and performance analyses.
- Assist with the validation of technical deliverables and invoicing processes.
- Collaborate with IT, networking, and security teams to ensure secure and reliable operations.
- Stay informed about developments in camera and surveillance technologies and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Support, Technical Operations, Infrastructure Support, or a related field.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
- Good knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, and PoE.
- Experience working with ticketing systems and service management processes.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and external vendors.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proactive, organized, and solution-oriented mindset., * Experience with CCTV, surveillance cameras, or ANPR systems.
- Knowledge of firmware management and hardware support.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with GDPR requirements related to camera and video data., * Service-oriented and hands-on.
- Comfortable working in a complex technical environment.
- Able to coordinate activities between business users, suppliers, and technical teams.
- Capable of taking ownership of issues from identification to resolution.
