ICT Workplace Engineer 80-100%

As an ICT Workplace Engineer, you support our team in modernising our digital workplace platform. Your focus is on automation, standardisation and further development of our Microsoft Cloud Workplace Services, especially in the areas of Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Intune, Windows 11 and PowerShell Automation. You help automate recurring operational tasks, reduce manual processes and make our Workplace Services more stable, scalable and efficient. In doing so, you work closely with colleagues from Workplace, Security, Infrastructure, Service Desk and external partners. The workplace is at our new location in the Ambassador House in Zurich-Opfikon as well as in the home office.

Your impact:

• You ensure the stable operation and continuous development of Azure Virtual Desktop and Remote Apps and actively drive the automation of recurring tasks with PowerShell.
• Together with the team, you design modern workplace solutions around Microsoft Intune, Windows 11, Windows Autopilot and Endpoint Management and support their further development.
• You analyse systems and services, assist with monitoring, reporting and health checks, and identify optimisation potentials before problems arise.
• With your eye for efficiency, you contribute your own ideas on how processes can be simplified, standardised and made more sustainable through automation.
• You document technical solutions, operational processes and best practices clearly and comprehensibly in Confluence, thus actively contributing to knowledge sharing within the team.
• In doing so, you continuously develop your expertise and gradually grow into the role of a Modern Workplace Engineer.

• You have completed training or studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable field and bring around 3 years of professional experience in IT workplace, client engineering, system engineering or cloud workplace environments.
• You have already gained initial practical experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows client management or Microsoft 365. You are also interested in Azure Virtual Desktop as well as modern cloud and workplace technologies.
• You have initial PowerShell knowledge or the motivation to specifically expand your skills in automation and script development.
• You enjoy automation, troubleshooting and analysing technical contexts and are motivated to develop sustainable solutions.
• You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner, while appreciating teamwork and actively contributing.
• You communicate confidently in German and English.
