Job description

Seeking an Expert Microsoft Fabric Consultant to design, implement and scale modern data platforms (Fabric, Lakehouse, Power BI) with Azure; mentor teams, align with stakeholders., We are looking for an Expert Microsoft Fabric Consultantto join our Data solution team. In this role, you will act as a senior technical leader and trusted advisor, helping organizations design, build, and scale modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric. You will contribute to architecture definition, platform implementation, and adoption across Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Real-Time Analytics, Data Science and Data Visualization. You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions that enable data-driven decision making and support enterprise data strategy.

Your key areas of responsibility:

  • Design and implement modern data architectures using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Build scalable Lakehouse and Medallion architectures (Bronze / Silver / Gold).
  • Develop and industrialize data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Data pipeline, Spark and notebooks.
  • Implement real-time and streaming data solutions using Event Streams, Eventhouse, and modern event-driven patterns.
  • Design and optimize semantic models, datasets, and performance for Power BI analytics workloads.
  • Implement governance, security, and data management practices (access control, lineage, data quality, compliance).
  • Define best practices, architecture standards, and platform operating models.
  • Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and design sessions with stakeholders.
  • Support DataOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, observability and cost/performance optimization.
  • Mentor data engineers, analysts, and platform teams.
  • Contribute to platform modernization, legacy migration, and development of data products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Platforms or Modern Data Architecture.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data ecosystem.
  • Solid hands-on experience with Spark, SQL, and Python.
  • Deep understanding of Lakehouse, Data Warehouse and modern data platform architecture patterns.
  • Experience building scalable and reliable data pipelines (batch and streaming).
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI semantic modeling, performance optimization and governance.
  • Understanding of Data Governance, Security, and DataOps best practices.
  • Ability to work in complex enterprise environments and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience with Azure services (e.g. ADLS, Synapse, Databricks, Purview, Event Hub, Functions).
  • Experience with event-driven and streaming architectures.
  • Fluency in French and English (verbal and written).
  • Experience migrating legacy data warehouses to modern Lakehouse/Fabric platforms is a plus.
