Design, develop, test, and maintain software modules ensuring optimal functionality and system integration
- Participate in legacy modernization projects, including migration from .NET Framework to modern .NET platforms
- Build and maintain web applications and RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core
- Develop and optimize data access layers using Entity Framework / EF Core
- Work with SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL), including query optimization and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions
- Ensure smooth CI/CD processes, contributing to build, deployment, and release pipelines
- Support applications in containerized environments (Docker; Kubernetes as a plus)
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, performing root cause analysis
- Apply software engineering best practices, including clean architecture, testing, and code reviews
Requirements
We are looking for an IT Service Owner (IT SO) with strong .NET engineering expertise to join our team and take part in the design, development, and testing of software modules within complex systems. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with strong collaboration skills to innovate and deliver high-quality, scalable, and well-integrated software solutions, including participation in legacy modernization initiatives.
Location: Hybrid - Madrid Working model: 3 days at client´s office, Sol area, next to the underground. Language: Advanced English (B2+ / C1 required), +6 years of experience in software engineering roles
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and modern .NET (.NET Core / .NET 8+)
- Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core and REST APIs
- Solid experience with SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL or similar)
- Experience using Entity Framework / EF Core
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Docker containerization
- Strong debugging and production troubleshooting skills
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS (Razor Pages is a plus)
- Good understanding of observability concepts (OpenTelemetry is a plus)
- Experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus) is a plus
- Familiarity with identity and authorization systems (Active Directory) is a plus
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
