Job description
As a Hardware Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design and development of electrical systems for our advanced machinery and automation solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and developing electrical schematics in EPLAN
- Translating technical requirements into practical hardware designs
- Selecting electrical components and defining hardware architectures
- Producing bills of materials and technical documentation
- Supporting purchasing, electrical assembly, commissioning, and customer documentation activities
- Troubleshooting and enhancing existing hardware designs
- Performing Performance Level (PL) calculations (Mid-Level & Senior)
- Participating in design reviews and presenting technical solutions
- Collaborating with Project Managers, Lead Engineers, Operations, Service, Sales, and suppliers
- Identifying and driving engineering process improvements
For more experienced engineers, additional opportunities include:
- Leading the electrical hardware scope of complex machine projects
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Reviewing and approving engineering deliverables
- Supporting project planning and resource estimation
- Acting as a technical expert within multidisciplinary project teams
Requirements
Are you an Electrical Hardware Engineer who enjoys transforming technical concepts into robust, real-world machine solutions? - 3+ years of relevant experience
- Strong interest in electrical design and industrial automation
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a collaborative engineering team
Mid-Level Engineers
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience creating and maintaining EPLAN schematics
- Ability to independently execute engineering projects
Senior Engineers
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience leading hardware engineering activities on complex projects
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and technical leadership capabilities
Technical Skills & Experience
We're particularly interested in candidates with:
- Experience with EPLAN Electrical Design
- Knowledge of electrical control systems and machine hardware
- Understanding of machinery directives, EMC regulations, and Performance Level requirements
- Familiarity with industrial automation and machine building environments
- Knowledge of mechanical and software engineering interfaces
- Experience with technical documentation and design specifications
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Excellent Dutch and English communication skills
