Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated UI tests for web applications using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure UI quality and usability.
  • Implement and manage IaC solutions using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Integrate UI tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
  • Perform cross-browser and responsive testing using platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
  • Monitor and report on test coverage, performance, and reliability.
  • Contribute to test strategy, documentation, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in UI test automation for modern web applications.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Nice to have: experience with mobile UI testing such as Appium.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Nice to have: exposure to monitoring and observability tools., We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to support high-quality user experiences and robust infrastructure. This is a remote UK-based contract role, with occasional travel to our Corsham office, offered at £550 to £650 per day inside IR35 depending on experience for a 12-month duration. The role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and has hands-on experience in UI test automation and Infrastructure as Code practices. Active SC clearance is required.
