Job description

As a Junior Frontend Developer, you'll help build high-quality, modern web applications as part of a collaborative engineering team reporting to the Head of Engineering. You'll work closely with more senior colleagues and clients to understand technical designs and user stories, while developing your own skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment., * Design, build, test and maintain modern frontend applications

  • Apply best practices and coding patterns for scalable solutions
  • Recognise and help implement security best practices
  • Contribute to discussions on technical designs and estimated effort
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to teammates and clients
  • Take ownership of tasks and proactively solve problems
  • Learn from and share knowledge with the wider team
  • Support delivery of mobile-first, responsive interfaces

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of React, plus familiarity with modern frontend development and experience in at least 3 of: Vanilla JavaScript (ES6+), Redux, React Router, Tanstack, Next.js, React Query, React Native, TypeScript
  • 1+ years' commercial development experience
  • Mobile-first development and responsive design experience; comfortable working in a team with minimal supervision

Desirable:

  • Experience with Vue/Nuxt
  • Understanding of accessibility and semantic markup
  • Exposure to CI/CD techniques or AWS/Kubernetes
