Senior Infrastructure Engineer

• Lead infrastructure projects in a secure defence environment.
• Work across a range of technologies and adapt to changing project needs.
• Deliver innovative or emerging projects supporting the MOD.
• Provide senior-level infrastructure engineering expertise onsite in Farnborough.

• DevOps, We are offering a senior infrastructure engineering contract role supporting MOD and defence projects in Farnborough. This is an outside IR35 position with long project potential, and we are ready to hire immediately. The work is onsite 5 days per week and focused on innovative and emerging projects within a secure environment.

• Active Security Clearance (SC).
• Strong understanding of Windows Server and Domain Services, including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and domain architecture.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, including VCF, NSX, vCenter, SAN integration, and ESXi.
• Practical exposure to Hyper-V virtualisation management and configuration.
• Understanding of PKI and encryption, including certificate services, key management, and secure communication.
• Networking knowledge, including switch configuration, VLANs, SAN-related VLANs, and routing fundamentals.
• Operational capability across common Linux distributions.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Ability to work onsite in Farnborough 5 days per week.
• Proven experience as a self-starter who can lead projects and adapt to different technologies within a secure or defence environment.
