At Gravitee, we're looking beyond traditional QA Automation Engineers, we're looking for someone who can help redefine how quality engineering works in an AI-native organisation.
As an AI-native QA Automation Engineer, you'll help us shift from manual, project-by-project testing towards intelligent, scalable automation. You'll work across multiple product teams, partnering with developers, architects and product managers to identify risks early, build robust automated test coverage and continuously improve the quality of our platform.
This isn't a role for someone who simply executes test cases. We're looking for someone who understands quality engineering fundamentals, embraces AI as part of their daily workflow and enjoys solving complex problems at scale. You'll have the opportunity to influence how Gravitee approaches automation, AI-assisted testing and quality engineering as we continue to grow.
What You'll Be Doing
At Gravitee, impact isn't abstract, it's visible. In this role, you will:
- Partner with the engineering and product team throughout the software development lifecycle to build quality into every feature from the start.
- Design, build and evolve scalable automation frameworks covering UI, API and end-to-end testing.
- Develop reliable automated test suites and integrate them into our CI/CD pipelines to provide fast, continuous feedback.
- Identify product risks early and define the most effective testing strategy for new features, ensuring the right level of test coverage across the testing pyramid.
- Drive the transition from manual regression testing to intelligent, scalable automation across multiple engineering teams.
- Collaborate with developers to improve testability, investigate production issues and continuously strengthen product quality.
- Establish and promote QA automation best practices, helping standardise approaches across the engineering organisation.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate test design, automate repetitive tasks, improve coverage and reduce flaky tests.
- Experiment with emerging AI-assisted testing techniques and evaluate how they can improve engineering productivity.

Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in QA Automation, Test Automation, Quality Engineering, or Software Development in Test, with strong hands-on experience designing, building and maintaining automated tests.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, including risk-based testing and test strategy.
- Proven experience designing, building and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Strong experience testing APIs and building automated UI and end-to-end test suites.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong programming skills in Java, TypeScript or another modern programming language.
- Experience with modern automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Postman, Jest or similar technologies.
- Experience working within Agile software development teams.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve testing, automation or software development workflows (or a demonstrated enthusiasm for adopting AI in your day-to-day work).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams.
- A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for continuously improving quality engineering practices.
