Remote Full Stack Java Developer

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise web applications.

We have a live opportunity for a Full Stack Java Developer on a hybrid basis, with three days per week in our Glasgow City Centre office. The role is UK-based, offered as an initial 6-month contract, with an ASAP start date, a day rate of £300, and an IR35 status currently pending final determination as outside IR35. • We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer with 7-8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade web applications.
• We need strong expertise in Java-based technologies, modern frontend frameworks, microservices architecture, CI/CD practices, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Minimum 7-8 years of experience in software development and enterprise application delivery.
• Proven experience developing web-based applications using ReactJS, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, REST APIs/web services, Spring MVC, and JEE technologies including Java 8+, JSF, JPA, JSP, Servlets, and JDBC.
• Experience with XML technologies such as DOM, SAX, and XSLT.
• Experience with HTML5, DHTML, JavaScript, and JBoss Application Server.
• Strong technical skills in Java 8 or higher, Spring Framework, JUnit 4 and JUnit 5, FreeMarker Templates, Oracle Database, Git, Ruby, Bundler, Gradle, Leiningen, GoCD, Ansible, and Mulesoft.
• Experience developing and deploying applications on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of Jenkins, Maven, CI/CD pipelines, and build and release management processes.
• Experience using IntelliJ IDEA or equivalent modern IDEs and source control/version management best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.
