Job description
- Develop, test, and deliver software for key products
- Work closely with other team members and technical leads across engineering
- Understand the deployment of real-time operating systems for low-latency sensing, computation, and communication
- Design, develop, and debug complex embedded systems using a broad range of communication protocols and peripherals
- Carry out hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, debugging, and validation
- Contribute to architecture concepts, navigation tasks, and development projects
- Identify opportunities to improve software efficiency through code reuse across products and projects
- Partner with engineering teams to fuse hardware and software and add value for customers
- Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members to support quick decision-making
- Mentor colleagues and share best practices and technical developments

Requirements
- Expert C/C++ development skills for Linux-based embedded devices
- Experience in robotics or automotive applications and sensors
- Experience in the navigation domain is highly desirable
- Experience cross-compiling for different hardware architectures
- Knowledge of virtualisation and Docker concepts
- Competence in Matlab development
- Experience working closely with technical leads and cross-functional engineering teams
- Ability to mentor and train more junior staff
