Remote Senior Backend Developer - Node

• Work on the development of backend components across our services, including our main trading application, Bitfinex Pay, Lightning Network support, and blockchain integrations
• Develop new products and features using agile methodologies to improve the trading experience
• Build backend services that remain smooth, responsive, and real-time as we scale
• Help maintain and improve our API, backend processes, and security standards to protect our users

• 6+ years of Node/JavaScript experience
• Familiar with microservices architecture
• Have actively participated in the development of a complex platform
• Good experience interacting with databases such as MySQL and MongoDB
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Good understanding of security practices
• Experience with blockchain integration is a plus
• Comfortable with high-availability concepts is a plus
• Ruby, Rust, or C++ skills are a plus
• Experience with message queues (Redis), caches, and job queues is a plus
