Remote Cloud Engineer GCP

• We will be working on a transformation project, setting up our Google Cloud environment.

• DevOps, We are a fintech organisation hiring a Cloud Developer (GCP) for a 6-month remote contract based in the UK. The role is outside IR35 and requires the candidate to be based in the UK with a valid visa. We are seeking someone with strong cloud engineering experience to support our Google Cloud transformation project.

• Expertise in automating Google Cloud Platform infrastructure deployments with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure as code tools.
• Proficient in implementing robust security practices for GCP, including secure secrets management.
• Hands-on experience deploying and orchestrating workloads on public cloud platforms, including virtual machine management and containerized applications within Kubernetes.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, particularly using GitHub Actions for continuous integration and delivery.
• Skilled in using YAML, Python, and Shell scripting for automation and configuration.
• Competent in establishing comprehensive monitoring solutions for performance and cost optimization.
• Practical knowledge of cloud financial management and FinOps principles.
