Job description
- Help design our clients IT applications
- Provide key input into the creation and maintenance of design patterns
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design, prototype, and guide the delivery of solutions
- Ensure solutions meet user needs, comply with design principles, and align with brand guidelines
- Communicate design solutions to delivery teams and stakeholders
- Support problem solving and help facilitate the build process
- Evaluate and challenge IT system requirements from subject matter experts
- Produce fit-for-purpose low-level solution design documents
- Enable accurate IT solution development estimates
- Define potential end-to-end solution options and make reasoned recommendations
- Prepare solution design leads and solutions designers for evidence-based decisions at relevant boards
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and outsourced service providers
- Support efficient delivery of Group IT and team activities
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of design patterns and best practice
- Support transition of solutions into business-as-usual
- Assist in resolving live technical incidents and system problems when required

Requirements
- Extensive relevant and demonstrable experience in IT system design and analysis
- Software lifecycle experience (SDLC)
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience producing high-level design documents
- Some experience in UX design
- Experience in prototyping and wireframing
- Experience with UML
- ITIL awareness
- Experience with various software development methodologies
- Software development background is ideal
- Experience in financial services, insurance, investments, and/or pensions environments

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential to extend, offering a salary of £60,000 to £70,000 per annum pro rata. The role is based in Warwickshire with one day a week onsite and the rest remote working.
