Job description

Our client, a reputable organisation supporting court and tribunal services, is hiring for an Operational Support Officer to join their team in Harrogate. This role involves providing essential operational support to ensure hearings and court activities run smoothly and efficiently., * Assisting with the preparation and smooth running of court and tribunal hearings, including managing documentation and systems

  • Handling enquiries via face-to-face, telephone, email, and digital channels from court users, legal professionals, and partner agencies
  • Offering clear guidance and support to members of the public, including vulnerable users and those with additional needs
  • Processing casework, maintaining accurate records, and updating internal systems in line with data protection policies
  • Managing legal documents, correspondence, hearing notices, and administrative tasks to support case progression
  • Supporting scheduling, listings, jury administration, and other operational activities
  • Collaborating with colleagues, judicial office holders, and external stakeholders to deliver a professional service
  • Responding professionally to sensitive situations and escalating issues when necessary
  • Assisting hearing room activities by preparing case materials and supporting judicial office holders during hearings, Additional requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS check required
  • Candidates who have spent more than 6 months outside the UK in the last 3 years will need to provide an overseas police check (at their own expense)
