Job description

  • Help design and build solutions to provide tailored data reports to colleagues, customers, and the wider business
  • Help import and export data for internal and external clients
  • Support the development of our in-house APIs and applications to maintain various datasets
  • Check for inaccuracies in our databases and resolve problems promptly and correctly
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on our databases and servers

We are an established software business working with Nigel Wright Tech to hire a Database Developer. This role involves supporting data reporting, database maintenance, and the development of our in-house APIs and applications. We offer the opportunity to work with a variety of datasets and support both internal and external clients.

Requirements

  • Experience using Microsoft SQL Server, ideally 2016 or later
  • Strong understanding of relational databases
  • Good experience with ETL processes and tools
  • Some knowledge of cloud database technologies, ideally Azure
  • Comfortable carrying out database maintenance tasks, including scheduling backups, monitoring database performance, and monitoring hardware resources
