Job description

  • Lead the unification of our global backend tech stack
  • Use data-led insights to identify opportunities to streamline our systems and improve the end-user experience
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to gather, understand and prioritise business requirements, assess business cases and develop KPIs
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels to ensure backlog prioritisation meets business needs and develop delivery roadmaps for workstreams
  • Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams
  • Lead multi-disciplined development teams to evolve the product, ensuring clear understanding of deliverables, costs, benefits and timelines
  • Own and prioritise the roadmap for our product
  • Facilitate decision-making with stakeholders and the agile development team by leading scrum ceremonies
  • Investigate solutions through competitor analysis, commercially available platforms and potential partners
  • Capture requirements in a clear and concise format
  • Understand, analyse and document current processes and workflows
  • Identify and propose opportunities for improvement
  • Gain approval and sign-off on new projects through demos and user acceptance testing
  • Manage the release process and communications when taking deliverables to market
  • Track the impact of new features and share results with the wider business

Requirements

  • Experience in a D2C eCommerce environment, with knowledge of commerce systems
  • Experience documenting, understanding and migrating complex data structures
  • Experience owning 1st and 3rd party commerce platforms
  • Strong customer focus backed by commercial awareness, with the ability to assess business opportunities quickly
  • Ability to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts and evaluate them systematically
  • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively with stakeholders and stay open to ideas and suggestions
  • Ability to work with and manage technical resources including UX, Engineering and QA
  • Interest in and understanding of relevant commerce technologies
  • Ability to confidently present options and recommendations to stakeholders, resolve project issues and mitigate risks proactively
  • Ability to spot opportunities and pivot quickly, using data to support decisions and improve the customer journey and internal processes
  • Ability to work in a Scrum/agile software development environment
  • Demonstrable experience using planning and development tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Lucidchart
  • Excitement to work in a fast-paced, medium-sized business
