Job description

  • We will rely on you as the technical lead to provide end-to-end cyber security solutions and maintain the network and security lifecycle.
  • You will safeguard our networks and systems against cyber-attacks, hacking attempts, intrusion, infiltration, and natural disasters.
  • You will design and implement short- and long-term plans to ensure our network and security infrastructure capacity meets current and future needs.
  • You will provide BAU infrastructure support and assist our support desk when requested.
  • You will support infrastructure administration and project management using our existing tools.
  • You will monitor logs from SIEM and Sophos MTR and perform threat hunts during security incidents.
  • You will maintain high patching standards across all systems.
  • You will configure, maintain, and implement intrusion detection systems, firewalls, VPNs, web protocols, and email security controls.
  • You will perform continuous penetration testing and drive remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • You will create and update Jira tickets regularly.
  • You will maintain system uptime and availability as close to 99.99% as possible.
  • You will investigate intrusion and hacking incidents, collect incident responses, and carry out forensic investigations.
  • You will stay current with security trends and technologies to improve our overall security posture.
  • You will plan disaster recovery and create contingency plans in the event of security breaches.
  • You will respond quickly to security incidents, apply mitigation measures, and implement workarounds to protect our systems.
  • You will monitor for attacks, intrusions, and unusual or unauthorised activity, and keep up to date with cyber news.
  • You will define and maintain our security policies.

  • Web, We are hiring a Cyber Security Specialist to work four days onsite from our clients London office each week. In this role, you will support our network and security environment with a strong focus on prevention, incident response, and operational resilience. You will work closely with our infrastructure and support teams, contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and help maintain our security frameworks and compliance posture. We are also seeking someone who can act quickly in response to security events and help us improve our overall cyber security capability.

Requirements

  • We are looking for a Cyber Security Specialist with strong technical leadership skills and experience delivering end-to-end network and security solutions.
  • We need experience in network maintenance, security prevention, and occasional support for infrastructure and support teams.
  • We require knowledge of incident response planning, Cyber Essentials, ISO27001, and the NIST framework.
  • We are looking for someone with experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • We require hands-on experience with SIEM tools and Sophos MTR, including log monitoring and threat hunting.
  • We need experience identifying, monitoring, and defining security requirements across systems.
  • We require strong knowledge of patch management, intrusion detection, firewalls, VPNs, web protocols, and email security.
  • We are looking for someone with experience running penetration tests and remediating vulnerabilities.
  • We require familiarity with Jira ticket management and maintaining high system uptime.
  • We need experience configuring and installing security infrastructure devices.
  • We are looking for someone with incident investigation and forensic analysis experience.
  • We require up-to-date knowledge of emerging security technologies, threats, and best practices.
  • We need experience defining and maintaining security policies.
  • Essential knowledge and experience include Zscaler Internet Access, Zscaler Private Access, Splunk, data centre colocation management, vendor/carrier management, Cisco CCNA/CCNP-level qualifications, IT security prevention and awareness, and PowerShell/scripting capabilities.
