Job description

  • Take ownership of the technical design, delivery, and documentation of our SaaS platform as we scale to support over 100,000 customers
  • Combine hands-on development with lead and architecture work

  • DevOps, We are a quickly growing SaaS business looking to add a Lead C#/Go Developer to our IT team. This role is highly cross-functional and gives you ownership to shape the technical direction of our platform, whether that means modularising monolithic architecture, spearheading greenfield projects, or using growth engineering strategies. The role is mostly remote, with onsite attendance required 1-2 times per month at our London, Chester, or Worcester offices. The salary on offer is £70k-£90k for the right person.

Requirements

  • A strong foundation in software engineering principles and deep knowledge of a high-level programming language; we use C# and Go heavily across our products
  • Experience working with distributed cloud systems, using containers and infrastructure as code; we run on Kubernetes in GCP
  • Strong knowledge of database technologies such as SQL Server and MongoDB
  • Previous experience as the primary technical leader in a team, collaborating with other teams and stakeholders
  • A passion for promoting engineering excellence in others through coaching and guidance
  • An understanding of different architectural and design patterns, and when to use them
  • Experience shipping fast, reliable, real-time applications using modern development tools and practices
  • Understanding of GitOps and experience with tools such as Argo CD is beneficial
  • Previous experience integrating new services and tools such as Salesforce, Segment, HubSpot, and Stripe is beneficial
  • Experience with SQL and data warehousing or pipelining tools such as BigQuery and Airflow is beneficial
  • Proven experience transforming legacy codebases and leading greenfield projects is beneficial
