More:
We are Uplisting, a fast-growing platform founded in the UK in 2017 and now part of the AirDNA community. We help hosts and operators streamline short-term rental operations with tools for automated messaging, channel management, task coordination, and financial reporting. Our mission is to empower the next generation of short-term rental creators with flexible, user-friendly technology that removes friction and supports sustainable growth. We are a curious, driven, and kind team guided by our Happy, Hungry, Honest values. This role is for a Fullstack Software Engineer helping modernize our core product, with a focus on end-to-end feature delivery and our migration from Ember to React. We offer a flexible remote environment, continuing education stipend, language lessons, opportunities for growth and mentorship, and a mission-driven product with real user impact. For hires outside Spain, the role is full-time contractor, with a yearly OTE salary range of GBP 50,000 to 65,000.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional full stack experience shipping and operating production systems.
- Strong React and TypeScript skills, plus solid back-end fundamentals (APIs, data modeling, relational databases).
- Hands-on experience with testing, CI/CD, and basic observability (logs, metrics, alerts).
- A track record of working on or leading non-trivial migrations or modernization work on a live product.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; you can explain trade-offs to engineers and non-engineers alike.
- Practical, daily use of AI tools in your workflow, with the judgment to verify what they produce.
- Experience with Ember.js or migrating front-end frameworks, or a polyglot with front-end frameworks, is nice to have.
- Background in short-term rental, property management, travel, or hospitality tech is nice to have.
- Experience operating multi-tenant SaaS at scale, including performance tuning, is nice to have.
- Familiarity with AWS, Heroku, containers, and infrastructure-as-code is nice to have.
- Prior experience formally mentoring other engineers is nice to have.
- Familiarity with the Shape Up methodology is nice to have.
