Job description

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Technician to join our IT Support team. You'll provide first and second-line IT support across our Trust, ensuring staff and students have reliable technology to support teaching and learning., * Provide first and second-line IT support for staff and students.

  • Install, configure and maintain PCs, laptops, tablets and other IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, Microsoft 365 and user account issues.
  • Support classroom technology, including interactive displays, AV equipment and printers.
  • Manage and prioritise helpdesk tickets, escalating complex issues where required.
  • Assist with device deployment, software installations and system updates.
  • Provide IT support for exams, school events and day-to-day operations.
  • Support educational platforms and maintain secure, reliable IT systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and general hardware/software troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and solve technical issues efficiently.
  • A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail.
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a school or education environment.
  • Familiarity with educational systems such as Go4Schools, Senso, MIS platforms or classroom AV technology.
  • Relevant IT qualification.
